Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup cubed watermelon Seedless or remove seeds.
  • 1 cup coconut water Plain or lightly flavored (not pulpy).

Instructions

Preparation

  • Remove rind and seeds from the watermelon. Chop into 1-inch cubes.
  • Pack diced watermelon into your Ninja Creami pint up to the max fill line. Press gently to remove air pockets.
  • Pour coconut water into the pint until it reaches the max fill line. Cap the pint securely.
  • Place the pint on a level surface in the freezer. Freeze upright for 12–24 hours until completely solid.

Spinning

  • When frozen, warm the outside of the pint for about 30 seconds in the microwave (no more) or run it under hot tap water for 1–2 minutes.
  • Place the pint into the Ninja Creami and run the ‘sorbet’ program. If the texture is dry or crumbly, re-spin until you reach a smooth, scoopable sorbet.

Notes

Use very ripe watermelon for the sweetest sorbet and feel free to swap coconut water for other liquids like plain water or limeade. Add honey or agave for sweetness if desired.
