Ingredients
  

Main ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bags green tea Can be swapped for matcha for a richer flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder Consider adding black pepper for better absorption.
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey Or sweetener of choice, adjust based on taste.
  • 0.5 pieces lemon Juice of half a lemon.
  • ice cubes For serving.
  • fresh mint leaves Optional, for garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a pot.
  • Once boiling, remove it from the heat and add the 2 green tea bags, letting them steep for 3-5 minutes.
  • With the tea still warm, stir in the turmeric powder and your choice of honey until everything is perfectly dissolved.
  • Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon, and mix well.
  • Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then pop it into the refrigerator until it’s chilled.
  • Serve over ice and take it up a notch by garnishing with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for about 3 days. For longer storage, freeze in ice cube trays.
