Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the applesauce, honey or maple syrup, and alcohol-free vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until well combined.
  • If desired, fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  • Let cool before serving.

Notes

To keep your applesauce cookies fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze for longer storage. Consider adding cinnamon for extra flavor.
