Ingredients

For the Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Substitute plain Greek yogurt for lighter tang
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce Can use sweet Thai chili or sweet chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust to taste; use more for heat
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Fresh preferred for brightness
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Or 1 clove minced fresh garlic
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning

For the Salmon Bites

  • 1 pound salmon Cut into bite-sized pieces; skin removed or left on and removed after cooking

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, garlic powder, and a pinch each of salt and pepper until smooth.
  • Reserve about half of the sauce in a small bowl for finishing. Add the salmon pieces to the larger bowl and gently toss until evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the salmon in a single layer with space between pieces for proper air circulation.
  • Air fry at 380°F for 8-10 minutes, checking at 8 minutes. The bites should be opaque through the center and have slightly crispy edges.
  • Remove salmon to a serving plate and immediately drizzle with the reserved bang bang sauce. Serve hot.

Notes

Pat the salmon dry before coating for crisper bites. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; this will ensure proper cooking. If desired, for extra crunch, toss the coated salmon pieces in panko before air frying.
