Ingredients

For the peaches

  • 4 pieces fresh ripe peaches Choose peaches that give slightly to gentle pressure; overly mushy fruit will break down in the air fryer.
  • 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar Can use light or dark. Brown sugar adds moisture and deeper caramel notes; feel free to use coconut sugar for a less sweet flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Can substitute with coconut oil or vegan butter.
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream Optional, for serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Give it about 3-5 minutes to come up to temperature.
  • Rinse and halve the peaches, twisting gently to separate the halves and remove the pits.
  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon until evenly mixed.
  • Brush each peach half with melted butter, coating the cut surface and a little on the edges.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture evenly over the buttered cut surfaces, pressing lightly so the sugar adheres.
  • Arrange the peaches in the air fryer basket, cut side up, with space between them for air circulation.

Cooking

  • Air fry for 10-12 minutes. They should be soft, juicy, and the sugar should be bubbling and slightly caramelized at the edges.
  • Remove carefully (they’ll be hot), and serve warm. Optionally, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

These peaches are delicious on their own, but can be served over ice cream or yogurt, topped with nuts or granola, or with a drizzle of balsamic or honey. For brunch, use as topping for pancakes, waffles, or French toast.
