Ingredients

Liquid Ingredients

  • 1 cup cherry juice Use unsweetened or sweetened depending on preference; cherry nectar will be thicker.
  • 1/2 cup lime juice Freshly squeezed gives the best bright flavor.
  • 1/4 cup sugar Optional — reduce or omit if your juice is sweet.

For Blending

  • 2 cups ice Add more or less to adjust thickness.

Garnish

  • lime slices For garnish.
  • cherries For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pour the cherry juice, lime juice, and sugar (if using) into a blender. Secure the lid.
  • Blend for 10–15 seconds to dissolve the sugar and combine the flavors.

Blending

  • Add the ice to the blender. Pulse on low, then increase to high in short bursts. Blend until you have a smooth, slushy texture — about 20–40 seconds depending on your blender.
  • Taste and adjust: add a splash more lime for brightness or a teaspoon of sugar if it’s too tart. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes and pulse.

Serving

  • Divide the slush between glasses, garnish with lime slices and whole cherries, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a smoother texture, blitz the juice briefly first to break down pulp, then add ice. Use chilled juices to maintain slushy consistency.
