Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5–2 lb total) Thighs can be used as a substitute
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup Can substitute with cream of mushroom or homemade white sauce for a fresher taste
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix Or 2–3 tbsp homemade ranch seasoning
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated tastes best
  • ½ cup chicken broth Can substitute with low-sodium stock or chicken broth for deeper flavor
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper To taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, grated Parmesan, and chicken broth until smooth and evenly combined.
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Arrange the chicken in the slow cooker in a single layer.
  • Pour the soup mixture over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated.
  • Drizzle the olive oil on top to help the sauce develop a silky finish.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F and it is fork-tender.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor depth, brown the chicken briefly in a hot skillet before adding to the crockpot. Always verify chicken is at least 165°F before serving. Adjust ranch seasoning according to taste.
