Ingredients
  

Base ingredients

  • 2 cups Pitted dates Use packed dates for natural sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder Use dark cocoa powder for a rich flavor.

Add-ins

  • 1/2 cup Nuts (walnuts or almonds) Can be substituted with sunflower seeds or dried fruit.
  • 1 pinch Salt A small amount enhances the flavors.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Blend the pitted dates in a food processor until they form a sticky paste.
  • Add the cocoa powder, nuts, and salt, then blend until combined to form a thick batter.
  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press the chocolatey mixture into the dish evenly.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the brownies to set.
  • Once chilled, cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store in the fridge for about a week, or freeze for a couple of months. Serve with vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert.
