Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box Ritz crackers (approximately 12 oz)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened) Full-fat gives the creamiest texture; light works in a pinch.
  • 1 cup dill pickles (sliced) Bread-and-butter will be sweeter; use dill pickles for the classic tang.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill (chopped) Substitute 1 teaspoon dried dill if needed.
  • Salt To taste (optional).

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients so assembly is smooth.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth using a spoon or an electric mixer on low.
  • Stir in the garlic powder and chopped fresh dill until evenly combined. Taste and add a pinch of salt if needed.
  • Spread about a teaspoon of the dill cream-cheese mixture onto half of the Ritz crackers.
  • Top each filled cracker with one slice of dill pickle. Press gently so the pickle adheres.
  • Cap each with another Ritz cracker to form a sandwich.
  • Arrange the assembled bites on a tray and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Notes

Serve chilled or at room temperature within an hour for best texture. Store assembled bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24–36 hours. For best texture, keep the filling and crackers separate if you need longer storage.
