Easter Carrot Chocolate Pretzels

Ingredients
For the Carrot Coating
- 1 bag Orange candy melts Or use white chocolate chips + orange gel food color
- 1 bag Green candy melts Or ready-made green decorating icing for carrot tops
For the Pretzels
- 30 pieces Mini pretzel twists or small pretzel rods Choose shapes that resemble carrots when dipped
Optional Garnishes
- as needed Nonpareils, edible glitter, or tiny sugar carrots For decoration
Equipment
- 1 sheet Parchment paper or silicone liners For lining the baking sheet
- 1 bowl Microwave-safe bowls or double boiler For melting coatings
- 1 bag Piping bag or small zip-top bag For applying green details
Instructions
Preparation
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange a cooling rack nearby.
- Melt the orange candy melts in a microwave or double boiler until smooth, stirring regularly.
Dipping Pretzels
- Hold a pretzel by one end and dip it into the orange coating to resemble a carrot. Tap off excess coating.
- Place the dipped pretzel on the lined baking sheet.
- Continue dipping pretzels in small batches. If the coating thickens, gently reheat.
- Let the orange layer set for about 5–10 minutes until slightly firm but tacky.
Adding Carrot Tops
- Melt the green candy melts or prepare the green icing. Transfer to a piping bag or zip-top bag.
- Pipe little tufted tops onto the uncoated end of each pretzel.
- Immediately add any sprinkles or tiny sugar carrots before the green icing sets.
Setting and Serving
- Allow all pieces to set completely at room temperature or chill briefly to speed up the process.
- Store in an airtight container layered with parchment for up to 7 days.
