Ingredients

For the Cupcake Base

  • 1 box Cupcake mix (or homemade, if you’re feeling fancy)
  • 3 pcs Eggs
  • ½ cup Butter or oil (softened for easier mixing)
  • 1 cup Water or milk

For the Ghostly Topping

  • 1 pkg White fondant Makes those ghosts look REAL spooky
  • 1 pcs Black edible marker For the cute ghost expressions
  • optional pcs Ghost-shaped cupcake toppers I say go big or go home!

For Frosting

  • 1 container Vanilla or buttercream frosting The fluffier, the better

Instructions

Bake the Cupcakes

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and grab that cupcake mix! Follow the package instructions or your favorite homemade recipe.
  • Pour the batter into your lined cupcake pan and pop it in the oven for around 18-20 minutes. You want them to look puffed up and just a touch golden.
  • Once they’re done, let them cool completely.

Craft the Ghosts

  • While those cupcakes are cooling, roll out that white fondant.
  • Cut out ghost shapes using a knife or cookie cutter.
  • Draw on tiny eyes and mouths with your black edible marker.

Frost the Cupcakes

  • Take that cooled cupcake and slather on a generous dollop of vanilla or buttercream frosting.

Assemble the Ghosts

  • Place your fondant ghosts right on top of the frosted cupcakes.
  • Add ghost-shaped toppers for an extra pop of fun if you have them.

Serve and Enjoy!

  • Serve these little ghouls at your Halloween party and enjoy the laughter.

Notes

If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for about 2-3 days. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze them wrapped tightly in plastic.
