Green Tea Lemonade

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups water, boiling
  • 2-3 bags green tea bags
  • 3-4 pieces fresh lemons squeezed for juice
  • to taste sugar or honey for sweetness
  • 4 cups cold water
  • as needed ice cubes

Preparation

  • Start by boiling 4 cups of water.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat and add 2-3 green tea bags. Let it steep for about 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, squeeze the juice of 3-4 lemons into a measuring cup.
  • Remove the tea bags and stir in sugar or honey until dissolved.
  • Combine the tea and lemon juice in a pitcher.
  • Add 4 cups of cold water and stir well.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or fresh mint if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. Stir before serving again. Experiment with flavors by adding ginger or fresh herbs.
