Ingredients

For the meatballs

  • 2 lb frozen meatballs (beef, turkey, or plant-based)

For the sauce

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite variety) Choose a thicker sauce for cling; thin sauces can be reduced at the end.
  • 1/3 cup honey (runny honey mixes easiest)
  • 1/3 cup grape jelly (substitute apricot or red pepper jelly for a twist)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, whisk the BBQ sauce, honey, and grape jelly until smooth and combined.
  • Place the frozen meatballs in the crockpot in an even layer.
  • Pour the sauce over the meatballs, stirring gently to coat.

Cooking

  • Cook on HIGH for 1 hour or LOW for 2 hours. Stir once halfway through if possible.
  • If the sauce is too thin, remove the lid and cook on HIGH for an extra 10–15 minutes to thicken. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped parsley, if using.

Notes

Best served on toothpicks as an appetizer or over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container and consume within 3–4 days. Reheat gently until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
