Ingredients

Vegetables and Fruits

  • 1/4 unit red onion, peeled
  • 2 unit jalapeños roasted
  • 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/3 cup diced tomato

Dressing

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Cheeses

  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese

Turkey Bacon

  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill to high heat.
  • Roast the onion and jalapeños on the grill for about 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • Once grilled, remove them from the heat and let them cool. Once cool, peel the skin off the jalapeños and remove the seeds before dicing.

Dressing Preparation

  • Combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Assembly

  • Place the chopped romaine lettuce in a large bowl.
  • Add the diced roasted jalapeños and onion, along with the cheddar and pepper jack cheeses, diced tomatoes, and crumbled turkey bacon.
  • Drizzle the dressing over the top and toss everything together until well coated.

Notes

For an extra kick, consider adding diced jalapeños directly into the salad. You can also experiment with different cheese types like feta or goat cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days, keeping the dressing separate until serving.
