Ingredients

Dip Base

  • 1 cup sour cream full-fat for richest texture; low-fat OK for lighter dip
  • 1 cup mayonnaise use regular or light mayo; Greek yogurt may substitute for a tangier twist

Mix-ins

  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or a sharp blend works best; avoid pre-shredded if possible
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions white + green parts for sweetness and color
  • 1/2 cup crumbled turkey bacon cooked until crisp; reserve a few larger pieces for topping

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove fresh garlic, finely minced, for a brighter bite
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust depending on how salty your turkey bacon and cheese are
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Put the sour cream and mayonnaise into a medium mixing bowl. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the shredded cheese, chopped green onions, and crumbled turkey bacon. Fold everything together until evenly distributed.
  • Sprinkle in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix briefly to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl. For best flavor, refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to let the ingredients meld.
  • If serving immediately, garnish with extra green onion or turkey bacon.

Notes

For a fresher flavor, use freshly grated cheddar. If you want lower fat, replace half the mayo with plain Greek yogurt for a tangier result.
