For the Crust

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Make sure it's nice and melty for easy mixing.

For the Mousse

  • 2 cups heavy cream The creamier, the better!
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Sweetness level: crazy good!
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Just a little boost for flavor.
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened This makes your mousse luscious.

For Garnish (Optional)

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Because why not?
  • Whole Oreo cookies For that Pinterest-worthy final touch!

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies with your melted butter. Firmly press that mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form a crust. Pop it in the fridge while you whip up the mousse.
  • In another bowl, beat your heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it's super smooth, ensuring there are no lumps.
  • Carefully fold the whipped cream mixture into the cream cheese until there are no streaks visible.
  • Pour the mousse mixture over your prepared crust and spread it out evenly. Cover and let it chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or until set.
  • When ready to serve, decorate with whole Oreos and sprinkle some chocolate chips on top, then slice and serve.

Notes

Store in the fridge for up to a week; you can also freeze for longer storage. If using, try mascarpone cheese instead of cream cheese for a richer flavor. Add espresso powder for depth.
