Ingredients

For the Pops

  • 12 pieces Oreo cookies Choose classic or double-stuff.
  • 8 oz Melting chocolate or candy melts Use semisweet, milk, or white for different flavors.
  • 12 pieces Lollipop sticks Sturdy sticks that won't bend.
  • 1 cup Sprinkles (optional) For decoration and additional texture.
  • 12 pieces Cellophane bags (optional) For gifting and keeping pops dry.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Melt the chocolate according to package instructions, stirring frequently for a smooth, lump-free coating.
  • Dip one end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into the cream filling of an Oreo cookie about halfway.

Coating

  • Hold the stick and dip the Oreo into the melted chocolate until fully coated, using a spoon to help cover any gaps.
  • Gently tap the stick against the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate and create a neat edge.
  • Place the coated Oreo on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Immediately add sprinkles if using so they adhere while the chocolate is still wet.

Setting and Packaging

  • Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature for 15–30 minutes or in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes until firm.
  • Once set, package in cellophane bags and tie with a ribbon if gifting.

Notes

Classic Oreos give a balanced sweet-bitter profile; double-stuff leans sweeter. Store in an airtight container away from heat and sunlight for best results. Chocolate can bloom if exposed to temperature swings.
