Pizza Base Ingredients

  • 1 piece thin crust pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup homemade garlic sauce substitutes: store garlic aioli or a thin layer of garlic butter mixed with a touch of mayo

Toppings

  • 1 cup dill pickles, thinly sliced pat dry to avoid sogginess
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded whole-milk mozzarella melts best
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated freshly grated for best flavor

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven according to the temperature recommended on your pizza dough package (typically 425–475°F / 220–245°C). Position a rack in the middle for even baking.
  • Lightly flour a work surface and roll out the thin crust dough to your desired shape. Transfer it to a lightly oiled or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Spread the homemade garlic sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border for the crust. Use the back of a spoon to smooth it out.
  • Arrange the sliced dill pickles in a single layer over the sauce. Slight overlap is fine, but avoid piling them on top of each other.
  • Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the pickles.
  • Finish with the grated parmesan across the whole pie.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven until the crust turns golden and the cheese is fully melted and bubbly, about 12–15 minutes.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 3–5 minutes to let the cheese set. Slice and serve.

Notes

For best texture, reheat slices in a preheated oven. This pizza pairs nicely with a crisp green salad, sweet potato fries, or a creamy dip.
